There’s a secret menu at Square One’s Food District in Mississauga

Mississauga foodies already know there’s no shortage of mouthwatering eats at The Food District at Square One.

But what you might not know is that there’s even more tasty dishes to discover when you start ordering off the secret menu.

From June 21st until September 5th, multiple vendors at The Food District are serving specially-created off-the-menu items, all inspired by the flavours of summer.

Check out what’s available on the secret menu:


Sweet Jesus (in the cover shot): Mango Mania with mango soft serve, mango madness crumb, mango & caramel sauces, deep fried waffle, and half a slice of cheesecake. 

Boasting a sweet selection of ice cream cones, milkshakes, cakes, and more, Sweet Jesus has been a mainstay at The Food District since its opening in 2019.


Chocollata Brigadeiros: Brigadeiro Brownie S’mores with marshmallow toppings.

Chocollata specializes in gourmet brigadeiros, a traditional Brazilian dessert that’s about the size of a cupcake and typically covered in chocolate sprinkles or other sweet toppings.


Blackjack BBQ: Fried chicken and waffles.

It’s always barbecue season at Blackjack’s, which serves popular dishes such as the Sweet Whiskey Pork Ribs, Dinosaur Beef Ribs, and sides including cheddar and broccoli slaw, smashed potatoes, pork and beans, and more.

One of The Food District’s best dessert spots, best known for its wide selection of cookies: Everything from traditional chocolate chip to more unique offerings such as birthday cake cookies and red velvet white chocolate.


Hale Coffee: Blue mylk lattes.

This popular cafe features specialty coffees from around the world, with a focus on using only high-quality coffee beans. The store’s retail section offers a wide selection of freshly roasted coffee beans and other coffee products.


Kibo Sushi House: The SQ1 Premium Love Boat, including appetizers, rolls, sashimi and sushi. Serves a group of 4-5 people.

Kibo Sushi is one of the newest openings at The Food District, featuring Japanese staples such as sushi, sashimi, noodles, bento, donburi, mochi ice cream, and even a selection of sushi pizzas. The store sells various Japanese food and snack products in its “Kibo Market.”

At Tao Tea Leaf, customers can take their pick from 180 varieties of tea including chai, chamomile and everything in between, plus some special blends that have even taken top prize at the North American Tea Championship.


La Carnita: Cotija Taco, deep fried cotija breaded with panko & egg wash, pinto beans, pickled carrots, green onions, and cilantro.

Born out of a love of art, music and Mexican cuisine, La Carnita describes itself as “the spot to enjoy delicious tacos, a handful of churros, and wash it all down with a fresh cocktail or beer.”

At Dal Moro’s Fresh Pasta To Go, authentic and traditional pasta dishes are made from scratch on-site. Diners can choose from seven varieties of pasta (like spaghetti, rigatoni, and gnocchi) and 12 different sauces including Bolognese, Pesto, and Alfredo.


These secret menu items won’t be around forever, so be sure to try some of them out the next time you’re at The Food District!

Since its opening in 2019, The Food District has become Square One’s premier spot for restaurants and pop-ups alike, and currently features 25 unique eateries. From tacos and sushi to ice cream and iced tea, there’s something for everyone to enjoy here.
