A temporary change has taken effect at IKEA in Canada that could save you some money.

Some customers can now get a discount when eating at one of IKEA’s Swedish restaurants.

The company said that from July 10 until Aug. 29, IKEA Family members get a 50 per cent discount on lunch or dinner at participating locations.

The offer applies to select main dishes after 11 a.m. from Monday to Friday.

It can also be combined with the existing kids eat free offer on Wednesdays only, which is valid when a main dish is purchased. That also runs until the end of August.

As part of the offer, IKEA Family members who buy a main entrée on a weekday after 11 a.m. can get a same-day coupon for $25 off for a purchase of $75 or more, or $35 off a purchase of $120 or more. Some products are excluded from the offer, however.

More information can be found on IKEA’s website.
