Suspect tied to home invasion robberies in Oakville and Milton

A Mississauga man is facing several charges after a home invasion and chase through Oakville that left Bronte Creek Provincial Park closed for a day last month.

Monday March 25 around midnight, the Halton police responded to a home invasion in the area of Upper Middle Road and Third Line in Oakville.

During the home invasion, a resident was assaulted and the suspects fled the area in a white BMW BX5 SUV.

The SUV eventually entered Bronte Creek Provincial Park and collided with a wooden post. Two suspects were taken into custody by police, one of whom was identified as Jaheim Turner, 21, of Mississauga.

Following the continued investigation, Turner is facing addition charges in relation to a home invasion in Milton on April 15, including break and enter, robbery with a firearm, theft of a vehicle, possession of stolen property and kidnapping with a firearm.

Turner has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

HRPS is also appealing to the public in an effort to identify other suspects who were involved in these incidents.
