Suspect arrested after two boys stabbed in Mississauga

A teenage boy is in custody after two other boys were stabbed in Mississauga this afternoon.

The two victims were stabbed near the Erin Mills Town Centre on Erin Mills Pkwy and Eglinton Ave. W around 2 p.m.. A witness described a heavy police presence around the Dollarama.

Both boys were whisked away to hospital in critical condition, with one reportedly suffering life-threatening wounds.

At the time of their first announcement police said they were looking for a suspect described as a South Asian boy between 15 and 17 years old.

Three hours later investigators said they had a teen boy in custody. Investigators confirmed they were not looking for any further suspects. Charges, however, are currently unknown.

The victims’ conditions have neither improved nor worsened in the last few hours.
