St. Catharines woman dies in collision with delivery truck

Police in Niagara are investigating a fatal collision involving a delivery truck that took the life of a 74-year-old woman in St. Catharines on Wednesday.
The crash occurred at around 9:30 a.m. near Vine and Scott streets, closing the roads for nine hours as detectives investigated.
Police say the woman was driving a blue Toyota Matrix when she collided with a white Freightliner box truck, typically used as a delivery vehicle. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives say the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
