Thirty of Mississauga’s 32 spray pads are now open to help people of all ages cool off as summer temperatures are on the way.

The remaining two cool-down spots, at Brickyard Park and Iceland, are scheduled to open the weekend of June 4-5.

The timing is spot-on as temperatures are expected to gradually climb later in the week. Next week, forecasters are calling for temperatures to feel like in the 30s for Monday through Wednesday.

The spray pads will remain open until September, weather permitting. Users are reminded that these locations are unsupervised.

Spray pads, which can be located on the City’s online map, are open daily at 9 a.m.

Perhaps the most popular wading pool in the city, at Mississauga Celebration Square, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. until Labour Day, and until 8 p.m. after Labour Day.

Meanwhile, all outdoor pools across the city are on schedule to open on Saturday, June 18, weather permitting. Indoor pools are open year-round.

“Whether you prefer a quick dip or a deep dive, Mississauga’s spray pads and pools are a great way to keep cool, get outside and enjoy summer in the city; just don’t forget your sunscreen and flip flops,” City of Mississauga officials said in a press release.

Residents are reminded that all indoor pools will be closed for the July 1 holiday, while outdoor pools will remain open and operating on holiday schedules.
