Sobeys recalling select vegetables for possible bacteria contamination

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says that Sobeys Inc. is recalling Compliments brand fresh-cut vegetable products from the marketplace due to possible Listeria contamination.
This is an update to a food recall warning issued on Oct. 30.
The following products have been sold in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
If you have consumed this product and feel sick, you’re advised to call your doctor.
If you have an affected product in your home, throw it out or return it to the store.
Food contaminated with Listeria may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.
Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are, particularly at risk.
Although infected pregnant women may experience only mild, flu-like symptoms, the infection can lead to premature delivery, infection of the newborn or even stillbirth.
In severe cases of illness, people may die.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
