Some heavy snow could impact the Monday morning commute in the southern Durham region, including Pickering and Oshawa.

Starting Monday morning (Jan. 24), an Alberta Clipper is expected to bring snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm to the region, with visibility reduced at times due to heavy snow.

Peak snowfall rates of 1 to 2 cm per hour are expected.

The snowfall will dissipate by Monday evening.

Motorists are advised to expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.

There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
