Halton Regional Police (HRP) closed a portion of Highway 7 between Georgetown and Halton Hills last night after a serious motor vehicle accident killed one man.

Shortly before 3 a.m. this morning (Aug 27) members of HRP Milton and Halton Hills were called to the scene of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 7 just south of Sideroad 22.

Reports say the male driver was extricated from the vehicle by members of the Halton Hills Fire Department. The man was pronounced dead at the scene with assistance from Halton paramedics.

HRP have not released any details about the possible cause of the accident.

Highway 7 remained closed for over three hours overnight as HRP’s Collison Reconstruction Unit conducted their investigation.
