Police are looking for the public’s help in finding a suspect wanted in a shooting at a Whitby car dealership Wednesday afternoon.
Durham Police responded to an armed person call at a used car dealership on Hopkins Street south of Dundas Street at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Officers found several spent bullet casings and surveillance video that showed a suspect arriving at the dealership parking lot in a white Honda CR‑V, exiting the vehicle, and firing several shots at a trailer on the property before fleeing.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
Anyone with cellphone, dash cam, or surveillance footage from this location between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. is asked to contact Detective McCracken at (905) 579-1520 ext. 1845 Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at http://durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca.
