Shooting at Whitby car dealership has police asking for public’s help

Oshawa man charged after nanny drugged, sexually abused

Police are looking for the public’s help in finding a suspect wanted in a shooting at a Whitby car dealership Wednesday afternoon.

Durham Police responded to an armed person call at a used car dealership on Hopkins Street south of Dundas Street at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Officers found several spent bullet casings and surveillance video that showed a suspect arriving at the dealership parking lot in a white Honda CR‑V, exiting the vehicle, and firing several shots at a trailer on the property before fleeing.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
