Three Hamilton residents were part of a four-person group of family members that won the Instant $2 Million Extreme grand prize.

Patricia Swayze, Natasha Chenier, and Ross Albanese of Hamilton and Shawnna Chenier of Gander, Newfoundland, will split the money.

The group said they have been playing the lottery together for about eight years.

“When I scratched the ticket and saw the $2 million, I couldn’t believe it,” shared Patricia at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I ran up to Natasha to show her, and she suggested we check on the OLG App to be sure. I was in disbelief!”

Natasha plans to pay off her mortgage and travel, Ross and Patricia will travel to visit family, and Shawnna plans to purchase a house.

“I feel grateful,” said Shawnna.
