Police hope an updated image will lead them to a suspect who’s wanted in connection with a sexual assault last month in Mississauga.

Investigators with Peel Regional Police said the male they’re searching for was last seen boarding a MiWay transit bus that was headed toward the City Centre Transit Terminal next to Square One on the night of May 20.

That same night, at around 8:30 p.m., a female was approached by an unknown male and sexually assaulted in the area of Constellation Drive and Sunray Drive, near Mavis Road and Eglinton Avenue West, police said.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of the incident, according to police, who on Friday released an updated surveillance image of the suspect.

Investigators say they’re again asking for the public’s help in identifying the person they’re seeking.

The suspect is described as Middle Eastern, standing approximately 5-foot-9 with a slim build. He spoke with an accent and was wearing a white hoodie and light grey sweatpants at the time of the assault.

Investigators have not disclosed the age of the victim.

Anyone with information about the incident or any other assaults is asked to call police at 905-453-2121, ext. 3460, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
