Sex Assault Charge Laid in Incident at Burlington Shopping Centre

A Burlington man is being charged following an alleged sex assault at a local mall.

A Burlington man is being charged following an alleged sex assault at a local mall.

Halton police say a woman was shopping at Mapleview Mall on July 4 at 7 p.m. when she was approached by a man.

A short conversation led to the woman being sexually assaulted, say investigators.

The accused fled on foot once a passersby was alerted by the victim.

Ramesh Kukreja, 51, was arrested on July 20 and is charged with one count of sexual assault.
