Seven Hamilton-area women celebrate lotto wins

Seven women from Hamilton have about 150,000 reasons to celebrate after winning big in the lottery.
Firstly, a group of six women matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the May 8, 2021, Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000.
The group, made up of Julie Kovacs, Kelly Roberts, Kimberley Roberts, Linda Celinscak, Paige Hall, and Sharon Robb, purchased their winning ticket at Petro Canada on Mud Street in Upper Stoney Creek.
Additionally, Hamilton’s Mary Southern, won $50,000 on the Instant Bingo Doubler scratch ticket recently.

Her winning ticket was purchased at Fennell Convenience on Fennell Avenue.
All of the winners collected their prizes virtually as OLG is limiting the number of in-person prize claim appointments to only those that require a face-to-face interview.
