Schools under hold and secure after knife seen during robbery in Brampton

UPDATE: The schools were kept in hold and secure until dismissal time.
Two Brampton schools are under hold and secure as officers respond to an armed robbery this afternoon (Sept. 27).
At around noon, two suspects reportedly stole property from a victim in the area of Chinguacousy Road and Sandalwood Parkway.
A knife was seen during the robbery, police say.
One suspect was arrested while the second was last seen on Chinguacousy. No suspect description has been shared at this time.
Two secondary schools in the area – Fletchers Meadow and St. Edmund Campion – were placed on a hold and secure until further notice.
A hold and secure prevents unauthorized persons from entering the school building during potential threats.
Police kept the schools in hold and secure until dismissal time. Students were able to leave school at normal dismissal times
Police are still investigating and say they are still searching for the second. suspect
