Police say two Burlington schools are in full and partial lockdowns.

Shortly before 11:30 a.m., Halton police took to social media to announce that Notre Dame Secondary School, located on Headon Forest Drive, is in lockdown for a police investigation.

Police did not disclose any details regarding the investigation.

Police also said that St. Timothy Catholic Elementary School, located nearby on Deer Run Avenue, is in a hold and secure (or partial lockdown).

“Officers are on scene and there are no reports of any injuries,” police said on X.

“Please avoid the area while police conduct the investigation.”

Details to follow.

UPDATE: Police say the lockdown and hold and secure have both been lifted. Police say no injuries were reported in connection with the incident. Details on what prompted the lockdown have not been revealed.
