It’s a slightly better day for those who ride the school bus in Clarington with just nine routes cancelled today (March 9), down from thirty the previous day.

Five routes, affecting four schools were cancelled in Ajax today as well.

Student Transport Services of Central Ontario, which is responsible for school bus service in Clarington, has been running a bus driver recruitment program for weeks but its effectiveness will only become clear after next week’s March Break.

Eleven schools in Clarington were affected by the cancellations, including Duke of Cambridge, St. Joseph (four routes), Bowmanville SS, St. Stephens SS, Clarington Central SS, Clarington Central Intermediate, The Pines, Clarke HS, Good Shepherd, Hampton Jr and Hampton Sr.

Check https://stsco.ca/ to see if your child’s bus route is affected by the cancellations.

The four Ajax schools are St. Teresa of Calcutta (both runs), St. Bernadette (PM only), St. Patrick (AM only) and Carruthers Creek (PM only).
