School bus crash knocks down traffic lights in Brampton

Emergency crews made quick work of a crash involving a school bus in Brampton that knocked down traffic lights at a busy Brampton intersection on Friday.

The collision happened around 4:15 p.m. when Peel Regional Police say multiple vehicles including a school bus crashed in the area of Steeles Avenue and Clementine Boulevard in Brampton.

No injuries were reported but photos from the scene captured by Insauga.com showed a grey car that had suffered significant damage to its front end and a school bus stopped in a nearby parking lot.

A police spokesperson said a traffic pole was knocked down in the crash and multiple vehicles were involved. Police were unable to confirm which vehicle struck the traffic pole.

The crash snarled traffic on Steeles Avenue while emergency crews were on the scene but police said the crash had been cleared by around 4:45 p.m.
