Rolling closures to affect some Hamilton roads until Friday

Motorists face delays from rolling road closures from today until Friday (July 21).

The closures will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the following roads:

John Street South (south of Arkledun Avenue), Mountwood Avenue (south of St. Joseph’s Drive), Rockwood Plaza and Louisa Avenue.

The City of Hamilton said it’s conducting “road investigations.”

The City also said there will be lane restrictions on Upper James Street between Mohawk Road and Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway (northbound and southbound). They are in effect until July 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. because the sidewalk will be replaced.

In addition, there will be lane restrictions in the east end on Parkdale Avenue South between King Street East and Queenston Road until July 21 from 7 a,m. to 3 p.m. for a sidewalk replacement.
