Roadway restricted as crews respond to watermain break in Hamilton

Residents should be aware of some potential traffic delays in Hamilton today (Sept. 26).
The city reported this morning that Hamilton Water is responding to a watermain break on Fennell Ave E. west of Upper Wellington St.
During the repair, there will be lane restrictions on Fennell Ave E. from Upper Wellington St to East 7th St.
Repairs are expected to be complete by 5 p.m. this afternoon.
UPDATE: A second watermain break has been reported on Gerrard St at Sherman Ave N, with lane restrictions on Gerrard St and on Sherman Ave N from Brant St to Burlington St E.
Work is expected to wrap up by 10 p.m.
