Intermittent road closures on Rymal Road and Regional Road 56 are planned next week which will likely cause some traffic delays in that busy area of Stoney Creek mountain.

Starting Monday (Sept. 20) and for approximately four days afterwards, the roads and surrounding areas will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The City of Hamilton said in a press release issued Friday (Sept. 17) that the closures are to allow for crews to complete road resurfacing.

Work, weather permitting, is expected to wrap up next Friday at 6 a.m.

“Motorists and cyclists should follow signs for detour where posted and may experience minor delays,” the release said.

“The City of Hamilton thanks motorists, pedestrians and cyclists for their patience as we complete these important infrastructure improvements.”

More information on detours and road closures can be found on the City’s website. Details about HSR service delays and route changes can also be found City’s website.
