‘Please avoid travel’: Road closed after vehicle hits hydro pole in Milton

Residents should be aware of a road closure in Milton today (Apr. 2).

A single vehicle struck a hydro pole on No. 5 Sideroad between Reg. Rd 25 and Dublin Line.

Power is out in the immediate area due to the downed power lines.

Officers will be attending the scene to close the road until further notice.

Drivers are asked to take alternate routes.

UPDATE: Police say a white Ford Mustang had been travelling eastbound on No. 5 Sideroad when it left the roadway, striking a utility pole.

The driver and passenger were transported to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
