Retired Port Perry man celebrating $77,777 lottery win with his wife

A Port Perry resident and his wife are planning a trip to celebrate their huge lottery win.

Dennis Bartley, a retired machine operator, is the winner of the $77,777 top prize in OLG’s Instant Diamond 7s (Game #2331).

Bartley says he has been a regular lottery player for over 25 years.

The winning ticket was purchased by his wife.

“I was in the sunroom with my wife playing our tickets. I announced we had a winner, but I hadn’t revealed the prize amount yet,” he said.

“When I did, we were shocked!”

He plans to pay off some bills and take a trip somewhere warm to celebrate with his wife.

The winning ticket was purchased at Sunny’s Gas & Variety on Scugog Street in Port Perry.
