A retired astronaut from Milton is set to be featured on a space podcast for kids next month.

Chris Hadfield, a retired astronaut, engineer, pilot and author is best known for flying three space missions, building two space stations, performing two spacewalks and commanding the International Space Station.

Along with being named the Top Test Pilot in both the US Air Force and the US Navy, Colonel Hadfield was also inducted into Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame.

Additionally, he is the co-creator and host of the BBC series Astronauts and helped create and host the National Geographic series One Strange Rock with actor Will Smith.

In March, Hadfield is set to appear on REACH: A Space Podcast for Kids, which is a family-friendly podcast that explores the galaxy and beyond.

The weekly podcast, hosted by Brian Holden and Meredith Stepien, is based on questions from kids and features educational and entertaining segments, at-home experiments and interviews with experts.

The podcast is available on various platforms where podcasts are available and the episode with Colonel Hadfield will be released on Mar. 8, 2022.
