Ontario saw record-shattering heat across the province yesterday, as numerous regions were hit with unseasonably warm temperatures. Pearson International Airport in Mississauga was no exception, as the facility logged temperatures of over 20 C.
According to the Ontario branch of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Pearson was not only one of the hottest places in the province but also the entire country.
Additional data also indicated that this wasn’t the first time the Mississauga-based airport had logged temperatures above 20 Celcius in winter months.
However, this particular instance was marked as the third earliest instance ever in Pearson’s history.
