It’s going to be a beautiful sunny day in southern Ontario Wednesday, with very unseasonable highs of 17 C.

Folks in Durham Region will see daytime highs of ‘only’ 15 C and overnight lows are expected to dip to just plus one. Overnight lows from Hamilton all the way to Toronto will stay around plus 3.

While it might be tempting to break out the garden tools and the flower bulbs, it should be noted it is still mid-March and overnight lows under the freezing mark will likely return by Sunday, with a chance of rain showers or flurries.

Wouldn’t hurt to give your local golf course a call though.

Residents in Mississauga and Brampton will enjoy clear skies overnight, while the rest of the GTHA will see some cloud cover move in by evening.

Winds will be southwest at 20 km/hr in Mississauga and Brampton, becoming light in the afternoon. It will be a bit windier to the south and west, with Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville seeing gusts up to 40 km/hr in the morning before easing to 20 km/hr in the afternoon.

Winds from Toronto to Clarington will remain steady throughout the day at 20 km/hr.
