A product that was sold at Costco in Canada has been recalled because it could pose hazards to consumers.
A notice posted on Costco’s website says Panasonic is voluntarily recalling certain toaster ovens.
“The recalled toaster ovens may have insufficient power cord insulation, posing a shock and fire hazard to consumers. No injuries or fatalities have been reported to Panasonic,” the notice says.
Costco’s website says the ovens have model number NB-G205, which is located on the rear product label.
Consumers should stop using the toaster ovens immediately.
Costco customers have two options to get a refund.

One is to return it directly to Panasonic. The company can be reached by phone at 1-888-943-2391, email at [email protected], or via the recall website.
Panasonic will provide instructions and once eligibility is confirmed and the company receives the oven, a refund will be issued.
Customers can also bring the oven back to a Costco warehouse in-person for a full refund.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your prompt cooperation,” the notice said.
“Consumer safety remains our highest priority.”
INsauga.com reported on a recall notice from Health Canada regarding the toaster ovens on Thursday. It mentioned that the model number NB-G200SVA, which is the American model, is also affected.
Health Canada said there were 2,184 of the ovens sold in Canada from November 2025 until March 2026; 11,500 were sold in the United States.
“Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada,” Health Canada said.
