RECALL: Tim Hortons product pulled from shelves in Canada

A Tim Hortons product has been recalled in Canada after a number of reported incidents.

In a notice published Monday, Health Canada said that a 16oz white ceramic mug that was sold at Tim Hortons locations and online poses a burn risk.

“The mug may crack or break when in use or filled with hot liquid, posing a burn hazard to users,” officials said.

As of March 10, the company has received 28 reports of incidents in Canada and one report of a burn injury.

The mugs have a donut design on the front and back. The interior and handles are pink.

The chocolate chip donut design changes colour when warm liquid is poured in, revealing one of four donut designs.

There were 25,040 of the mugs sold in Canada from January to February of this year.

They were manufactured in China.

“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mug and return the product to a Tim Hortons restaurant location by April 22, 2026 for a full refund,” the notice said.

“Returns may be accepted thereafter for refund.”
