Certain seasoning is being recalled in Canada due to a possible health concern.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said in a notice that it’s being pulled from the marketplace “due to possible salmonella contamination.”
The affected product is the Alarjawi brand Green Zaatar.
It’s 450 g in size, has the UPC number 6 212055 026230, and the following codes are impacted: P: 29/04/2025, E: 28/10/2026 K1.

It was distributed in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as possibly other provinces and territories.
Officials said the recall was triggered by CFIA test results, adding that there haven’t been any reported illnesses associated with the seasoning.
Consumers are being advised to check to see if they have the affected product. It should be thrown out or returned to where it was bought.
“Food contaminated with salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick,” the CFIA said.
The CFIA is conducting an investigation which could lead to more recalls.
Last month, another Alarjawi product was recalled in Canada due to salmonella concerns.
