Certain sausages that were sold in Ontario have been recalled.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the recall was triggered by its inspection activities.
The sausages contain wheat which isn’t declared on the label, posing allergen risks, officials said.
The affected product is the Highgate Tender Meats Ltd. brand Honey garlic sausage.
It’s one piece (approximately one pound) and has the UPC number 0 200000 505592.

The recall applies to all cases where wheat isn’t declared on the label.
“Do not consume recalled products to which you are allergic or sensitive as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction,” the CFIA said.
“If you have celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders, do not consume the recalled product as it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.”
There haven’t been any reported reactions associated with the product, the CFIA said.
“Do not serve, use, sell or distribute recalled products. Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased,” officials said.
The CFIA said it’s conducting an investigation which could lead to more recalls.
