A pizza product sold at Costco has been recalled in Canada.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said in a notice that the Gino Bambino brand Gluten-Free Pizza Starter Kit is the affected product.

It’s 700 g in size, has the UPC number 0 59949 05230 4 and the following codes are impacted: Best Before 2026 AL 22; 2026 AL 28.

Officials said it’s being recalled due to mould.

The recalling firm is Molinaro’s Fine Italian Foods Ltd.

The product is listed on Costco Canada’s website.

Several recent customer reviews on the listing discuss mould.

“Packaging needs improvement. I have had to return this at least three times due to mold growth despite being properly stored and well within the best before date,” one said.

“Bought this once before and it was fine. This time, despite a good best before date, there was mold growing between the two crusts,” another review said.

The CFIA said consumers should not use the recalled products.
