Residents should be aware of a recall involving Advil tablets that were sold across Canada, including in Mississauga and Brampton.

Two lots of Advil Cold & Sinus Day/Night Convenience Pack (in boxes of 18 caplets and 36 caplets) have been recalled due to a labelling mix-up which could lead some consumers to accidentally take a nighttime caplet instead of a daytime caplet, and vice versa.

“Taking a nighttime caplet when alertness is required may pose health risks,” Health Canada warns.

The affected lots are described below:

Residents are advised to stop using the recalled products and consult a healthcare professional if they have used any of these products and have health concerns.

The product can be returned to your local pharmacy for proper disposal.
