Halton police are advising police to thoroughly check their children’s Halloween candy.

On Saturday (Nov. 6), police say they received a report that a small razor and screw were found concealed inside two chocolate bars collected on Halloween night by a 10 year old Milton resident.

“The mini bars were ‘Aero’ and ‘Snickers’ brands and were collected on October 31st in the greater residential area of Derry Road and Savoline Boulevard in the Town of Milton,” said police.

Police haven’t reported that there were any injuries to the 10 year old child.

Officers are investigating this discovery and strongly encouraging all parents to thoroughly check their children’s candy, regardless of where it was collected.

Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact police at 905-825-4747, ext. 2410.
