Province reporting 209 new COVID-19 cases, nine deaths

The province is reporting 209 new COVID-19 cases today, July 3 (+9 from yesterday) and 9 new deaths (+0 from yesterday). There are 47 new cases in Waterloo, 22 in Halton, 20 in Toronto, 20 in Grey Bruce, 20 in Niagara Region, 12 in Peel (Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon), eight in Hamilton, and six in Durham.

This is Peel’s lowest daily case count since August 11, 2020, when it reported just seven cases.

Since yesterday, 262 more cases are considered resolved and nearly 17,100 more tests completed.

15,365,003 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ontario to date, including 210,504 doses administered yesterday, July 2.

The province entered stage two of its reopening framework earlier this week, allowing for larger social gatherings and for more businesses and facilities to reopen.
