Price of an average home in Oakville rises by 22.37 per cent in April

Oakville home prices continue to soar.

According to Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) data for the month of April, the average price of home in Oakville climbed to $1,342,300.

That’s up by 22.37 per cent or $245,400 when compared to sales from last April even though Canadian real estate sales may be slowing down.

Even with addition of inventory, CREA data says prices hit record marks in Canada climbing in the last month by $18,100. The benchmark for a home in Canada last month is $731,600, up by 2.54 per cent.

Hamilton was second to Oakville in the rising price of a home over the same period. The benchmark price in Hamilton is now $866,900. That’s up 32.9 per cent or $214,800.
