Power outage forces closure of East Hamilton school

Friday morning, the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) said that crews were on the scene trying to restore power but they won’t be able to restore power in time to ensure safety.

Approximately 581 homes and businesses in the area of Roxborough Avenue to Maple Avenue from London Street South to Cope Street are affected by the outage.
According to Alectra utilities, residents in the area could see their power restored by 10 am.
