Alectra Utilities is reporting Thursday (March 12) there is presently a limited power outage in downtown Hamilton affecting 1555 customers.

Alectra Utilities is reporting Thursday (March 12) there is presently a limited power outage in downtown Hamilton affecting 1555 customers.

The cause of the outage is, the utility provider said is an underground distribution problem.

Crews have been dispatched to make repairs and the estimated time for power restoration is 2:30 PM.

UPDATE: Alectra says power has been restored.
