Power outage affecting 1500 customers in Hamilton

A power outage in Hamilton is affecting approximately 1500 residences and business in the downtown area.
Alectra Utilities says they received notice of the power outage around 5:40 p.m. and dispatched crews to Central Hamilton.
The cause of the outage is an underground distribution problem.
Alectra Utilities says the estimated time for power restoration is 11 p.m. this evening.
