Port Colborne woman claims $100,000 Encore win

A Port Colborne is set to see the world after $1 became $100,000 in an Encore lottery win.
Finance worker Melissa Hearns “couldn’t believe” the win when she passed her ticket to the clerk at the 7-Eleven on Clarence St.
“I saw the Big Winner screen appear with all the zeroes. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I was so nervous passing the ticket to the clerk, I was shaking,” she told OLG.
Hearns plans to pay off some bills, finish renovating her home and share some of the win with her parents.
Then, “I’m also going to put some aside to travel next year,” she said, “I’m very excited for the possibilities — I’ve been dreaming of a win for years.”
