A popular tapas-style foodie event that was launched in 2023 is back this July for its fourth year, with culinary creativity, live music, and history converging for a memorable evening on July 9 in Oshawa.
Bougee Bites, operated by Oshawa Tourism, has been held at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery since its inception but this year it will trade its spot alongside one of the nation’s biggest collection of Canadian art for a new home among the legendary tanks and armoured vehicles at the Canadian Tank Museum.
Running from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on July 9, the event transforms one of Oshawa’s most iconic venues into an immersive after-hours dining experience.
Boujee Bites 2026 offers guests the opportunity to explore the museum at their own pace while enjoying curated food samples from some of Oshawa’s best local restaurants and eateries. Food samples are included with the price of admission, encouraging guests to discover new favourites while celebrating the city’s vibrant culinary scene.
Enhancing the atmosphere, the evening will feature live, era-inspired music that transports guests to the 1940s, complementing the museum’s historic setting and creating an immersive sensory experience. The combination of music, culinary offerings and access to one of North America’s largest collections of operational military vehicles results in a setting that is both “unexpected and memorable,” said Oshawa Tourism Executive Director Krista Licsi.
“Boujee Bites continues to showcase Oshawa’s creativity by pairing local culinary talent with unique spaces that tell a story,” Licsi said. “Hosting the event at the Canadian Tank Museum allows us to offer guests an experience that blends culture, history, and cuisine in a way that can only happen here.”
Early bird tickets for Boujee Bites 2026 are available for $60 + HST until March 31, after which ticket prices will increase to $70 + HST. Tickets are limited.
Boujee Bites has become a signature Oshawa Tourism event, known for reimagining local spaces and celebrating community and the city’s culinary talent through curated experiences – an example of the magic that can be achieved when a community collaborates.
