It’s going to be a while yet before local Oakville residents are able to take a dip in White Oaks Pool.

While most area pools have been slowly opening, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has forced the closure of White Oaks Pool.

The popular indoor pool has remained closed for 16 months now and the Town says that will continue “until further notice.”

“Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, White Oaks Pool has been closed since March 2020,” the Town of Oakville said in a notice.

“We hope to reopen the pool in the Fall of 2021.”

The 25-metre, six lane pool features a Tarzan rope, family change rooms, a one-metre diving board, on-deck parent viewing is in a wheelchair accessible building.
