One of Mississauga’s best-known farmers’ markets will be reopening at the end of this month.

Today, Creativehub 1352, a non-profit community organization, announced that the Lakeview Farmers and Artisan Market will return to the Small Arms Inspection Building on May 26 for its fifth season.

The market, which will feature a range of vendors offering everything from organic produce to artisan goods, will take place every Sunday from May 26 until Oct. 27.

Throughout its 26-week run, visitors will be able to purchase products from 30 local farmers and food vendors, as well as from the bi-weekly artisan market. The market will operate in both the indoor and outdoor areas of the venue and will also feature buskers, entertainment, a cafe and more.

While organizers have not yet released the markets’ 2024 vendor lineup, organizations that participated last year include Ace of Tarts, Alesco Sea Gardens, Delicious All Day Coffee, Cathy’s Kombucha, Eleanora’s Handcrafted Biscotti, Jones Family Greens, Mojo’s Peppa Sauce, Pierogi Me!, Stonehooker Brewing Company, The Good Beef Company and more.

As far as events go, organizers say shoppers will also be able to check out a garlic festival, a vintage clothing market and a multicultural festival throughout the season.

“We’re thrilled to welcome back the Lakeview Farmers and Artisan Market, a cherished gathering place for our community,” said Meredith Wood, executive director, in a statement.

“This season, we’re excited to introduce new vendors alongside our returning favourites, highlighting the diverse talents and flavours of Mississauga.”

The market is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
