Popular bubble tea chain is coming soon to downtown Hamilton

It’s tea time, Hamilton, and you won’t believe all the options you will have when this new place opens soon in the city’s downtown.
Gong cha is opening a new location on James Street North soon, and their line of specialty bubble teas, coffees, smoothies and more is bound to quench just about any thirst.
This new Hamilton location will be the Taiwan-based chain’s 13th Canadian franchise, of which most are located in the GTA. Gong cha currently has more than 1,000 shops across the globe.
The term Gong cha, according to the company’s website, is ‘the act of offering tea to the Emperor in ancient China as a tribute.’ So, the quality of the tea must be fit for royalty.
One glance at Gong cha’s menu is reassurance that this isn’t your run-of-the-mill tea.

Items like the Creme Brulee Brown Sugar Smoothie, the Milk Foam Green Tea, Oreo Coffee Milk Tea, or the Taro Milk Tea with Red Bean will certainly turn heads and make a tea drinker out of the Ted Lassos of the world.vVarious toppings are also available for those looking to customize their Gong cha.
Some locations have been known to serve soft-serve ice cream and waffles, in addition to other nibblies, but their beverages are the star attraction.
