Does your beloved pooch love to swim? Or romp around with tennis balls? It’s one last blast of summer for local pups and pooches at Nelson Pool this Saturday.

The inaugural Pooch Plunge is being held by Burlington Humane Society and is bringing together pet owners and local vendors at this fundraising event.

There will be more than 130 tennis balls and goodie bags from Rens, including treats and toys, for all the participants.

The event is being sponsored by Rens and AfterAllPhoto with numerous vendors on site and local groomer, Discount Doggy Grooming, offering $10 nail trims.

All proceeds from the event are going to the Burlington Humane Society.

Separate times are reserved for small and large dogs. The swim is reserved for dogs in the pool only. Owner will be on deck supervising their dog.

The event is running from 1 to 5 p.m. at Nelson Pool, 4235 New St.
