Police seek witnesses in a shooting at a huge concert in Mississauga

More than 800 people attended a concert that ended with two people in life-threatening condition on the August long weekend.

The Aristocrats concert featured three Dancehall performances from 450, Intence and Jahshii, on Sunday, July 31, according to a flier distributed by Peel Regional Police. The concert was at the Eve Event Space, 6300 Northwest Dr. in Malton.

The concert was slated to start at 3 p.m. and police responded to shots fired around 11:42 p.m.

Peel Regional Paramedic Services transported one victim to Sunnybrook hospital with a reported gunshot wound to the abdomen. The second victim was independently dropped off at hospital.

Police now say the victims sustained life-threatening injuries but there is not update on their condition.

There is no suspect information and police are now looking for the public’s help to solve this crime.
