Police seek suspect after woman assaulted on west Hamilton trail

Hamilton Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted by a man Thursday afternoon (Sept. 30) in west Hamilton.

Police said in a press release that just before 3:30 p.m. a woman walking along the Caleb’s Walk trail in the area of Dalewood Cr. and Oak Knoll Dr. was assaulted by an unknown man.

The area of the trail is a heavily wooded area, police said, and the suspect was last seen running west further along the trail.

The suspect is described as; male, tanned skin, 25 to 30 years old, semi muscular build, with a black ponytail at the top of his head and shaved hair on the sides of the head. He was wearing a white t-shirt and had a black backpack on.

Police are appealing to any witnesses, and are asking area residents to check their home video surveillance for anything that may have captured the suspect in the area.
