Police seek suspect after overnight stabbing in Oshawa

Durham Regional Police are asking for the public’s assistance identifying a suspect in an overnight stabbing in Oshawa.

East Division officers attended the area of Grandview St. North and Rossland Rd. East shortly before 12:30 a.m. early this morning (June 18).

Police located a 28-year-old stab wound victim upon arrival at the scene.

The man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male, 16-21 years old, approximately 5’7” with shoulder length brown/blonde hair. He was wearing sweatpants and a grey hooded sweatshirt.

The investigation is ongoing and residents in the area are asked to check their security surveillance footage for any suspicious activity.
