Police seek assistance in fatal fail to remain collision investigation in Brampton

A motorist located the victim lying in the eastbound lanes of Queen Street, east of Cherrycrest Drive in Brampton at 12:20 a.m. and contacted emergency services.
The victim, who had life-threatening injuries, was transported to a trauma centre where she later died.
The victim has been identified as Dianna Manan, a 16-year-old from Toronto; described as 5’0″, brown, with a slim build.

At the time of the incident, Manan was wearing a black three-quarter length winter jacket with fur around the hood.
Further investigation has revealed that Manan has loose affiliations to Brampton and may have spent time at a house party before her death on Saturday, January 4, 2020.
Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are requesting that anyone who was at the party and remembers seeing Manan to contact them.
It is also believed that Manan may have left the party with someone.
Police are also interested in speaking to a young male who was present at the collision scene and provided information to another witness.
This male is described as South Asian, late teens or early twenties with a slim build.
Investigators are also appealing for anyone that may have travelled through the area around midnight or anyone with a dashcam or surveillance footage, to contact investigators from the Major Collision Bureau at 905-453–2121, ext. 3710.
