Niagara Police have released photos of both a driver and his taxi that struck a St. Catharines woman last December, as well as a witness who stopped to help her home, in an effort to locate both men.

On December 22 at 3:30 pm, a pedestrian in her 20s was hit by a taxi as she crossed the road in the Facer St. and Concord Ave. area of the city.

Police report that the cabbie did stop to assist her briefly before leaving the scene. Another man witnessed the accident from his car, stopping to help her back to her nearby home.

However, she did need hospitalization for “multiple minor injuries” and that’s when the police were notified.

“The investigation thus far has not been able to identify the driver who struck the female or the witness who helped her,” the police say.

However, the investigating officer “has very recently obtained photos from the incident and is appealing for the public’s help in identifying the involved men and their respective vehicles.

Above is the taxi and driver who struck her. Below is the witness who helped her back home.

Anyone who may have information is asked to contact the investigating officer by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, 1009711.
