Police Investigating Fatal Crash in Halton Hills

Halton police are on scene in Halton Hills following a fatal crash early Tuesday. 

The incident, involving one vehicle, took place at 6 a.m.

The incident, involving one vehicle, took place at 6 a.m.

Hwy. 7 is closed between Dublin Line and Crewsons Line for the investigation.

That’s in the area between the Acton and Blue Springs golf clubs.

Avoid the area.

UPDATE: A truck apparently went into a hydro pole, said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt. 

The male driver was pronounced dead in hospital.

The crash took place west of Acton.

Detours will be in place for drivers.

The OPP collision reconstruction team is investigating.

UPDATE: This stretch of Hwy. 7 remains closed as of 10:25 a.m., say OPP.

UPDATE: Hwy. 7 reopened at 2:30 p.m.
